This program combines the curriculum from the Babysitting 101 National Babysitter Education Program with professionals from the Police Department and Countryside Fire Protection District. Future sitters, ages 10-14 years, learn how to deal with emergency and non-emergency situations that could arise while taking care of younger children. Topics including first aid, fire safety, police security, and child care are addressed. Participants receive a manual and tote bag, and certificates of achievement are awarded. Participants should bring a sack lunch with them as we will take a break during the class to eat.
