Seven District parks will be receiving new trees this fall! Four new tree varieties (Valley Forge American Elm, Chicagoland Hackberry, Worplesdon Sweetgum, and Sweetbay Magnolia) and one new species (American Yellowwood) will be introduced into the District’s tree inventory.  A total of 23 trees will be planted in Torrey Pines Park, Deerpath Park, Aspen Backyard Park, Peterson Park, Century Park, Carriage Green Park, and Hawthorn Club Park.
