Employment Opportunities

The Park District accepts applications throughout the year. Our current employment opportunities are posted below, categorized by full-time, part-time and seasonal.


If you would like to be considered for any position advertised on this site, please stop by the Sullivan Center, 635 N. Aspen Drive, just south of Route 60 or the Laschen Center, 294 Evergreen Drive, next to Village Hall, during regular business hours and fill out an application. Download an Employment Application.

Aerobics Instructor

Current Seasonal Positions:

Aquatics (summer)
The Family Aquatics Center employs the following positions from May through September:


• Lifeguards (15 & older and certified by the American Red Cross)
• Pool Attendants (16 & older/assist patrons at slide tower & lazy river)
• Concessions (15 & older/must have an aptitude for math & numbers)
• Seasonal pool maintenance (Responsibilities include cleaning the bathhouses, hosing the decks, taking out trash, etc. Early morning hours are required.)

Camp (summer)
The Park District begins to hire summer camp staff every March. Applications are accepted from February through June. The Park District conducts interviews beginning in mid-March for:

• Leader-in-Training (ages 14-15)
• Assistant Counselor (ages 16 & older)
• Counselors (ages 17 & older)
• Director (ages 21 & older)

Park Maintenance (summer)
Park Maintenance workers are employed from May through September. Interested applicants should be 17 years old. Employees perform a variety of plantings and general upkeep of all Park District properties.

Baseball/Softball (spring/summer)
The season runs from April through July, and candidates must be able to work weekday evenings and weekends, as well as successfully complete a Park District Training Course for the following positions:

• Umpires (14 & older)
• Athletic Field Supervisors ( 14 & older)
