Tennis Courts

There are currently 40 un-lighted public tennis courts in Vernon Hills:

Twelve courts are owned and operated by the Park District and are open from dawn to dusk daily:

Deerpath Park - 6 located adjacent to the Cherokee Road entrance parking lot

Century Park - 4 located on Hawthorn Parkway north of Hawthorn Middle School North

Grosse Pointe - 2 located in Grosse Pointe Park on Grosse Pointe Boulevard

Use of Park District courts is on a first-come/first-served basis. Private tennis lessons for a fee, are prohibited unless approved in advance, in writing by the Park District.

Four courts are owned and operated by the Village of Vernon Hills and are located southwest of the Village Hall, west of Evergreen Drive. They are open from dawn to dusk daily.

Twelve courts are owned and operated by Vernon Hills High School. They are located just east of Fairway Drive, north of the high school football stadium. Public access policies have not been announced by the high school at this time.

Twelve courts are owned and operated by Stevenson High School. They are located west of Fairway Drive and the Vernon Hills Athletic Complex. Public access and use is currently restricted to use by Stevenson High School.
