Summer Camp
More than 1,000 kids in Vernon Hills and
surrounding communities enjoy
their summer vacations enrolled in Park District camps! With
activities ranging from arts and crafts, sports, nature, field trips, to
swimming at the Family Aquatic Center, there is literally something for
everyone.
The summer camp programs are listed in the Park District's
Summer Planner brochure which is mailed to Vernon
Hills residents in January.
Preschool Camps
Two sessions of three, half-day camps are offered for preschool age children:

Day Camps
The following day camps are for students in grades 1-8. Generally, the day camps begin at 9:00 am and end at 3:00 pm. Extended Day Camp is available for before camp, 7:00 am - 9:00 am or after camp, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at various locations.

Camp Triple E (Environmental Enrichment & Exploration)
Camp Triple E follows the Hawthorn School District 73 summer school schedule. Students in grades 1-6 can attend summer school in the morning and camp in the afternoon (11:30 am - 3:00 pm)! This is also the perfect camp for those kids who only want to attend an afternoon camp. A Friday camp option is available from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
NEW! Extended afternoon care (3-6 pm) is available for Camp EEE.
Mini Camps
Mini Camps are offered August 9th-13th, 2010 at the Vernon Hills Park District! This year, look forward to another mini session of Mad Science, Skateboard Camp, Chess Scholars and Improv Playhouse. New this year to mini camps- Young Rembrandt's and Glitter Girlz as featured on Martha Stewart!
