Park Ambassadors, Jim Wilson (pictured) and Jack Schmerer, can be found on bicycle or on foot in any of our District Parks in the afternoons. You will find them between 2-7 pm weekdays and 12-5 pm on weekends wearing orange Park District shirts. The Ambassadors are present to provide customer service, ensuring all of our park visitors have an enjoyable experience.  In addition to Jim and Jack being the “eyes and ears” of the Park District, they can answer questions regarding park amenities and ordinances, offer assistance to park patrons, and assist with outdoor programs and special events. Jim has been enjoying his new role as an Ambassador. He says, “It’s nice riding around and meeting people!”  Make sure you say hello the next time you pass Jim or Jack in the parks!
