With winter around the corner, it’s time once again for the 4th Annual Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills (GLMV) Coat Drive for Vets held October 1 – November 15, 2023.

Join the Park District in collecting old, slightly worn, or new winter coats and other seasonal outerwear (hats, gloves, scarves, etc.), which will be provided to our local veterans and their families in need. All sizes and styles are welcome. The drive is being conducted through the GLMV Chamber of Commerce, GLMV Villages, businesses, municipalities, and Midwest Veterans Closet, a not-for-profit charity that provides free clothing and other items to our former soldiers. Additionally, The Midwest Veterans Closet is accepting donations for their K9 Coat Drive.  Help keep the veteran’s “best friends” (Service, Comfort, or Therapy dogs) warm and comfy.

The Sullivan Community Center is a donation collection site.
