The Vernon Hills Park District welcomes Tracy Kading and Rebekah Snyder as citizen members of the District’s Efficiency Committee.

The newly formed Efficiency Committee will study local government efficiencies and issue a report to the Lake County Board.  The Committee will be comprised of the Park Board of Commissioners, at least two citizens and District staff. The committee is required to meet a minimum of three times anytime from June 2023 to December 2024 and file a report to Lake County by December 2024.

The duties of the committee are to:

• Study the park district’s governing statutes, ordinances, rules, procedures, powers, jurisdiction, shared services, intergovernmental agreements and interrelationships with other government units and the State of Illinois, and
• Collect data, research and analysis as necessary to prepare a written report that includes recommendations with respect to increased accountability and efficiency, and
• Provide a written report to the administrative office of the Lake County Board.
