Give the Gift of Recreation to Vernon Hills Families in Need November 13-January 15.

The District is inviting our community to support Vernon Hills’ families that are in financial need. The Sullivan Community Center and Lakeview Fitness have Giving Trees in their facilities through January 15. The trees are decorated with gold ($50), silver ($25), and blue (any amount) paper stars. Families have the opportunity to have their name on a star and displayed on the lobby walls. In-person and online donations are accepted.

Last year, through special event proceeds, P-Card rebates, and the Giving Trees, the District’s Family Scholarship Fund awarded $31,500 for recreation programming to 42 families. All donations will go directly to the Family Scholarship Fund. Together, let’s help more children have positive experiences with gifts of recreation.
