Carol Sente has been a Vernon Hills resident since 1997, and returned to the Park Board via appointment in 2020. She was re-elected to the Park Board in 2021. She first served on the Park Board in 2004-2009, until she became the Illinois State Representative for District 59 serving our community in this capacity for almost ten years.
Carol owns a small management consulting practice, serves on the Small Business Advocacy Council Board and is an active member of Willow South Lake church. She chose to get involved with the Park Board because she has a strong understanding of park agencies through her former architectural firm as well as due to her passion for open space, lifelong fitness, the benefits of leisure, and environmental stewardship.
Carol resides in Georgetown Square. She enjoys hiking, fitness, traveling the world, reading, and glamping.
